About Signal Chain AV

The person behind
the board.

Based in Lehigh Valley, PA

Bill's career in live sound is the product of an innate love for music and a fascination with the science and technology that brings it to the stage. He views music as a universal language capable of sharing great energy and emotion with all who listen. Corny? Maybe, but there's something special that happens when you listen to your favorite songs and just leave the world behind.

His first venture into the technical world started around 2012, volunteering as a stagehand at the AFBA before stepping into the role of guest engineer. That led to a long-standing position as the sound engineer for Big Valley Bluegrass and, from there, to stages across the Lehigh Valley. He has worked with bands of every size on shows ranging from small menu-venues to larger festival productions, covering many genres including bluegrass, folk, country, pop, and rock.

Signal Chain AV takes its name from a core principle: a sound engineer who truly understands every link in the audio signal chain (from the source to the speaker) can diagnose problems systematically, make corrections quickly, and keep the show moving. That understanding is what separates someone who makes noise come out of the speakers and someone who can turn sonic chaos into art.

Signal Chain AV's ultimate goal: to become synonymous with both quality sound and a quality experience. Too many performances have suffered from technical failures and engineers who either didn't know how or couldn't be bothered to make it right. Every point of the production process should be as seamless as possible so the band can put on their best show, and the audience can have the best night.
